Job Description: Merchandiser/Sales Assistant at Fast-Paced Fashion Jewelry Company

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our fast-paced fashion jewelry company as an Entry Level Merchandiser. This role will play a crucial part in assisting with various merchandising and administrative tasks to support the company's product development, marketing, and direct-to-consumer operations. The ideal candidate is organized, possesses strong multitasking abilities, and thrives in a dynamic and creative environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Product Preparation and Presentation:

• Assist in preparing product samples for meetings, ensuring they are properly labeled, organized, and visually appealing.

• Collaborate with the merchandising team to create engaging product displays and presentations.

2. Sample Management and Shipping:

• Manage the sample inventory, ensuring samples are available and in good condition for meetings, photoshoots, and other marketing activities.

• Coordinate sample shipments to customers, partners, and internal teams, ensuring timely delivery and accurate documentation.

3. Merchandising and Product Development:

• Assist in product boarding and merchandising activities, including tagging, categorizing, and organizing products in line with brand guidelines.

• Collaborate with the product development team to contribute ideas and insights for new product lines and improvements.

4. Administrative Tasks:

• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to product inventory, samples, and other merchandising activities.

• Perform data entry and spreadsheet management, such as updating pricing information, tracking sales data, and analyzing product performance.

5. Direct-to-Consumer Website Management:

• Assist with managing and updating the company's direct-to-consumer website, including product listings, descriptions, and imagery.

• Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure website content is accurate, visually appealing, and aligned with brand guidelines.

Requirements:

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with Outlook for email and scheduling.

• Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator is preferred but not required.

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in data entry and documentation.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and take direction from superiors.

• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and tasks.

• Interest in the fashion jewelry industry and understanding of current trends.
