Job brief

We are looking for a Level 2 Telecommunications specialist to construct, install, repair, maintain & decommission communications systems and equipment. The successful candidate will be familiar with telephone and data cables, wiring, circuits, and all related systems and devices in a Central Office environment.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of transmission, switching, control, decommissioning and operating of telecommunications systems.
• Knowledge of telecommunications systems and engineering technology.
• Familiarity of standard tools and specialized telecom tools
• Some project administration/coordination experience with proficiency in MS Office, Drop Box.
• General hands-on experience with telecommunications systems including Switches (5ESS, DMS)
• Experience and Knowledgeability of Fiber Optic cables
• Experience and Knowledgeability of High-Count copper cable
• Adequate interpersonal and organizational skills
• Team player with customer service orientation
• High school diploma
• Telecommunications certificates or relevant certifications are a plus
• Candidate must be able to move 100 lbs of weight
• Knowledge of the GR-1275
• A current & valid driver license is required
• Must be fluent in English
• Must be able to work for any employer in the United States
• Must have the ability to travel

Work Location: New York Metropolitan area with some travel

Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
