Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Loan Assistant. As a Loan Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our loan officers and ensuring smooth loan processing. Responsibilities:
- Assist loan officers with various tasks throughout the loan origination process
- Collect and review necessary documentation from borrowers
- Input loan data into the system accurately and efficiently
- Communicate with borrowers, escrow companies, and other parties involved in the loan process
- Prepare loan files for underwriting and closing
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive borrower information
- Provide excellent customer service to borrowers and address any inquiries or concerns

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in a bank or financial institution is preferred
- Knowledge of loan processing procedures and regulations (TILA, FNMA) is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform basic math calculations accurately
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficient in using computer systems and software applications related to loan processing
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Note: This is a paid position. Internship positions must also be compensated according to labor laws.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
