 Chemist II - $60.24 - $73.22 Hourly ($125,299.20 - $152,297.60 Annually)

  • Chemist I: Utilize your expertise to conduct precise laboratory analyses of environmental samples, focusing on the unique challenges of the SF Bay ecosystem. From wastewater to biosolids, your work will play a pivotal role in protecting the delicate balance of our local environment.
  • Chemist II: As a technical specialist, spearhead the development of advanced methodologies for environmental analysis tailored to the specific needs of the SF Bay region. Your insights will shape our strategies for sustainable resource management and conservation.

Education and Experience Required:
  • Chemist I:
    • Completion of a bachelor’s degree with a major in chemistry and/or biology or its equivalent.
    • One year of experience in a laboratory performing environmental analysis.
  • Chemist II:
    • Completion of a bachelor’s degree with a major in chemistry and/or biology or its equivalent.
    • Two years of experience in a laboratory performing wastewater or drinking water analyses. Experience with a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) is highly desirable.
