Janney is seeking a Head of Investment Company Solutions leading a team providing strategic direction for a variety of pooled investment solutions. The role will lead Wealth Management's Investment Company Solutions team by shaping advisor engagement and promoting growth across a variety of investment company solutions including philanthropic, educational funding, alternative investments, traditional mutual fund, ETF, UIT and cash management solutions.

The candidate will have in-depth knowledge of the investment solutions space including the regulatory environment, technology, and maintenance of an established platform. This role will collaborate with leaders within the organization to manage the offerings in a highly regulated environment.

What you are good at:

  • Coaching and Managing a team – Able to effectively coach and lead at team and develop team to meet their goals.
  • Communication – Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with internal Janney stakeholders and our financial advisors.
  • Building Relationships – Connecting with others in a way that fosters trust, creates collaborative relationships, and preserves established team culture.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of 3 including setting individual goals, and team goals and focusing on team career development.
  • Manage product platforms, including updating disclosures and policies as needed .
  • Manage relationships with external asset manager partners.
  • Act as a SME for financial advisors’ inquiries and questions.
  • Oversee the Cash Sweep Program.
  • Evaluate, review, and advise on new and existing investment company products.
  • Participate in SIFMA and other industry roundtables to understand external best practices.
  • Execute semi-annual Mutual Fund and Closed End Fund due diligence processes.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the department.

What you have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 10 years of related professional experience.
  • Experience working directly with financial advisors.
  • History of managing highly productive teams.
  • Seasoned knowledge of investment products, portfolio construction, financial and investment principles, economics, and conditions affecting the securities market.
  • In-depth understanding of regulatory requirements for securities products and services.
  • Series 7, 24, 63, preferred or ability to obtain within 9 months from date of hire.
  • Proven ability to think strategically and to implement and complete initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and presentations skills with the ability to develop and foster strong professional relationships.
  • Flexibility to travel to branches in the Janney footprint once or twice a month.

This role will be hybrid, the individual will work approximately three days per week in the office.
