Union Metal Industries Corporation is Hiring a Machine Operator (1st and 2nd Shift) Near Canton, OH
1st shift 5:30 am - 4:00 pm; 2nd shift 4:00 pm - 2:30 am
- Set up dies or tooling for the machine to start a production cycle
- Control and adjust machine settings as needed
- Operate the machine and follow work orders
- Inspect work when completed
- Fix issues that might occur during the shift
- Set up for subsequent jobs
- Clean area at end of shift
- Other duties as assigned
- Understanding of production procedures.
- Adherence to health and safety regulations (constant use of safety gear)
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work with a team and good communication skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
All tools required to perform the job. Any tool needed to operate the machine and Jib Crane training.
- Must be able to lift, push, pull up to 50lbs.
- Must be able to sit, stand, bend, stoop, climb and walk for extended periods of time
- Must be able to work in all types of temperatures
- Must have some computer skills
- Must be able to read drawings and work orders
- Steel toe shoes, ear plugs, safety glasses, gloves and face shield if required, hard hat
