POSITION OVERVIEW
The Driver picks up aircraft components and delivers to the workshop in a timely manner to ensure work flow is not interrupted and then serviceable units are returned promptly to customers.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Pick up and deliver freight to and from the airport in a safe, efficient, timely and legal manner.
- Hook and unhook trailers; secure freight; install and remove tire chains as required by weather, tarp and un-tarp freight if operating flat beds.
- Administration including, completing serviceable and unserviceable labels, pickup and delivery books, temporary WO’s, vehicle logs.
- Load and unload trailers and perform lifting, pulling, pushing and carrying freight.
- General maintenance and care of vehicles.
- Ensure that all operations are in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid Driver’s License or CDL-A (as required).
- Experience driving a 53’ tractor/trailer (if applicable).
- Forklift experience preferred.
- Driving experience.
- Meet all standards (medical, safety, etc…) required.
- Knowledge of applicable Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
