The Microsoft SQL Server Developer is responsible for the operational tasks and development of ETL processing using Microsoft SQL Server technologies. Unifund utilizes the latest version of SQL Server 2022.

Responsibilities:

• Inventory data import/export processing using MS Transact SQL and SSIS
• Proficient in developing and interpreting MS SQL Scripts and Stored Procedures
• Develop, maintain, and process Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages handling the extract, transform, and load (ETL) of data for acquisitions
• Handles all account/portfolio data loads for Unifund to evaluate, purchase, or manage in accordance to meet or exceed Unifund internal SLA’s
• Process and maintain input/output file exchange with sellers, issuers, banks, and internal departments following Compliance and Data Security processes

• Facilitate data import accuracy
• Identify the completeness and mapping of supplied data elements
• As appropriate and under the direction of management, participate and lead automation and initiatives to streamline data integration processes
• Provide reviews for approval by Acquisition department management to address any data load issues and adhere to compliance regulations

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS, or related field, or Associate degree with commensurate experience of at least two years
• At least two years of professional development experience in Microsoft SQL Server
• Hands-on experience performing ETL using Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) for importing/exporting data, FTP, encrypting files, stored procedures, indexes, views, documenting processes and operation flows
• Proficient in working with and standardizing data from various sources and in multiple formats (Excel, CSV, XML, JSON)

• Detail-oriented with a high level of flexibility and adaptability
• Ability to work in both a team environment and individually
• Manage multiple tasks simultaneously and context shift based on business needs
• Ability to learn quickly and communicate effectively, written and verbal, to interact with internal and external stakeholders
• High level of continuous process improvement to ensure efficiency and compliance
