Unifund CCR is Hiring a Manager - Legal Operations- Performance Near Cincinnati, OH

Overview:
Performance Managers are responsible to oversee an established group of law firm vendors and internal support team. They are responsible for ensuring that performance, operational processes, and compliance meet Unifund, regulatory, and client standards. Key areas of responsibilities are to drive the financial performance, ensure operational consistency, and serve as a key contact for the network partner. Measurements of success for this role include:
  • Performance: Achieving or exceeding organizational goals for performance.
  • Process: Driving and refining processes, both internally and within vendor network, to ensure clear line of sight in both performance and operational opportunities.
  • People: Lead direct reports to reach their full potential through mentoring, education, coaching, guidance and structured performance monitoring.
Key Responsibilities:
Performance: Responsible for creating, reviewing and analyzing reports to drive vendor collections, legal activity, workflow and performance goals.
  • Establishing, monitoring, and analyzing collections recoveries to ensure the vendor meets or exceeds established performance goals.
  • Coordinate and lead regularly scheduled meetings to drive performance and understand business opportunities within assigned vendor group.
  • Identifying and removing roadblocks to success including but not limited to; account work flow, data transfer, reporting and account level research.
  • Creating reports and monitoring systems (KPI) to proactively identify servicing opportunities to drive performance results.
  • Participate in the selection and vetting of vendors to ensure superior performance and compliance.
  • Lead internal, assigned Liaison team members to support and drive revenue and process operations.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
Process: Responsible for process enhancement and refinement within a team environment or under the direction from management.
  • Identify process changes which will help drive revenue of individual and network performance.
  • Partner with cross functional teams to review and resolve issues and/or escalations for assigned servicing vendors.
  • Create and review reports which monitor and proactively identify opportunities for performance enhancement.
  • Partner with external vendors to implement compliant, advanced recovery strategies.
  • Serve as a main contact for process escalations identified internally or within assigned vendor network.
  • Participate in, monitor, and provide guidance to, client workflow requirements, data exchange, performance requirements and implementation.
  • Create and manage KPI’s to monitor business processes and performance scorecards.
People: Responsible for providing leadership and guidance to the department, direct reports, and other cross functional teams.
  • Identify, train, mentor, and hire team members as appropriate.
  • Create and manage performance monitoring (KPI) reporting for key areas within the department to ensure work is measurable, actionable, and tied to organizational performance.
  • Serve as a trusted leader delivering value to cross functional teams and external network.
  • Create clear and measurable goals for each employee driving performance, organizational culture, and vendor partnership and success.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures, display leadership through punctuality and participation in all required meetings, activities, etc. while pursuing assigned duties
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Occasional Travel: As needed.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Bachelor’s degree or comparable work experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ accounts receivable experience including oversight, operational and performance management; Legal Network, Firm Management, and process improvement.
  • Expert leader driving employee engagement, development and growth.
  • Advanced analytical skills including the creation and management of performance KPI’s to monitor and project performance results.
  • Expert communicator in both written and oral to both internal and external stakeholders. Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, in order to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Competent in Microsoft Word and Outlook;
  • Demonstrated ability to create, analyze and communicate data.
  • Strong detail orientation skills, organized, and effective problem-solving skills are mandatory.
  • Ability to balance autonomous work while building collaborative relationships with colleagues and network partners.
