Unified Group Services Inc is Hiring a Document specialist Near Anderson, IN

Unified Group Services is a full-service third-party administrator (TPA) for self-insured group health plans. We are dedicated to providing excellent customer service and the flexibility our customers desire in administering employee benefit plans.

JOB SUMMARY :

The Plan Document Specialist position formulates the client's benefit plan document to the client's specifications, updates / amends the document as necessary, works with the client and broker agent answering questions and advising on plan benefit and compliance issues and collects the necessary signatures to legally solidify the document.

In addition, they must prepare the accompanying Summary of Benefits and Coverage (SBC), updating when necessary. This position must stay up to date on current and new regulations pertaining to health plans to help ensure that the clients and Unified remain in compliance.

This may require investigative web research and or attending seminars, web conferences, etc. for current information. Critical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skills are vital and used daily.

The Plan Document Specialist will provide clarification of document wording and benefit designs to Claims Account Managers, requesting clarification from the client when necessary.

This position requires an individual to understand how a regulation or plan change may affect the many other areas involved in the administration of a health plan.

Prior experience with health benefit plans would be beneficial.

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. required. Prefer a 2 yr. degree and / or benefit plan knowledge. Some work experience in the legal field would be beneficial.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Adobe, and the Internet.
  • Good keyboarding skills are essential.
  • Excellent writing skills using proper grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines is critical.
  • Ability to multi-task in a work environment that can be fast-paced.
  • Polite, courteous, and professional communication skills and ability to work well with others.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated and self-starter; ability to work independently to accomplish tasks.
  • Good reading comprehension is essential.
  • Critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills are vital.
  • Excellent customer service and a desire to exceed customer expectations.
  • Excellent attendance.
  • As with any job there may be other tasks assigned, as necessary.

Hours :

40 hours per week - Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 a.m. to 5 : 00 p.m.

Pay : Hourly
