Position- IT Operations Research Analyst

Job Description:

We've been seeing a lot of Data Scientists and Data/Software Engineers; we're seeking candidates with mathematical optimization experience who can speak to creating models that solve problems for resource allocation.

We're no longer accepting candidates who require Java training or are not local/willing to relocate.

Candidates...
-Must be local to Dallas (preferred) or Phoenix -Must be skilled in mathematical optimization and Java; Azure and SQL also highly preferred -Must have knowledge of IBM Cplex, Gurobi, or Fico xpress (preferred as this is what AA uses) -Must have a graduate degree, such as in Industrial Engineering

• Master’s/PhD degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Operations Research, Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Math, Statistics)
• 2 years of experience with Java and commercial solvers (FICO Xpress, CPLEX, Gurobi)
• 2 years of experience developing and implementing large scale optimization models using MIP and heuristics
• 2 years of experience in a technical professional environment
• Experience in using cloud platforms and parallel processing to scale model development/ deployment
• Ability to work 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) onsite in Dallas (preferred) or Phoenix

Candidates must be able to write code in Java (not Python). They need to be familiar with at least 1 optimization language (IBM CPLEX, GUROBI, or FICO Xpress. FICO Xpress is preferred). Please withdraw candidates that do not meet these requirements.

A Masters or PhD is a minimum requirement of this role.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $69.20 - $100.00 per hour
