UNC Charlotte is Hiring a Donor Experience Officer Near Charlotte, NC
- Work with the Leadership Annual Giving team to implement digital engagement and solicitation strategies in order to improve both the breadth and depth of alumni engagement and enhance future efforts with alumni.
- Responsible for managing a portfolio of current donors and potential prospects.
- Maintain complete and accurate records of contacts, call reports, stewardship activities and prospect status in order to demonstrate the results of his/her efforts.
- Proactively monitor engagement to identify and launch initiatives that drive interest and donations.
- Leverage technology and virtual communication tools to build relationships with constituents and enhance donor engagement.
- Execute 40 daily outbound contacts to university prospects via virtual meetings, phone calls, emails and video outreach.
- Achieve clear retention and reactivation goals. Develop strong relationships with the development team and unit major gift officers in order to provide referrals and further develop the donor pipeline.
- Assist annual giving in pursuing the fundraising goals and additional projects as assigned by the Director.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 1 year experience in fundraising or sales.
- Fundraising experience, preferably within higher education, with skills in both one-to-one donor cultivation and solicitation.
- Team oriented style and a deep desire and experience in collaborating with others.
- Exceptional people skills with the ability to be insightful, responsive, creative and engaging.
- The ability to work independently and be self-motivated in initiating contacts with donors and potential donors.
- Strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, including a high level of attention to detail and active listening skills.
- Excellent computer, social media and technology skills required. Ability to adapt to evolving technologies as necessary.
