As aFull-Time Classified Program Coordinator, you will be in a fast-paced, creative, and self-directed position that is responsible for selecting, developing, pricing, and promoting new and repeat non-credit courses, events, and short-term trainings throughout the UCC service district. The position meets the needs of youth, families, adults, employers, and industry in the areas of personal development, career and continuing education, enrichment, technology, and lifelong learning. Duties include assessing community needs, managing courses for cost recovery, reviewing course proposals, recruiting instructors, and evaluating for quality and student satisfaction. This position may provide direct instruction. Funding for this position is partially self-support, which is contingent upon generating sufficient revenue through cost recovery.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Qualifications:
  • Associate degree in Education, Business, Human Services, Recreation, or related field.
  • Three years of experience coordinating and/or developing educational classes, trainings, or events.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes some evening and weekend hours.
  • Possess a valid Oregon driver's license, provide own transportation and be willing to travel within UCC service district.
Preferred (Not Required) Qualifications:
  • Experience planning and directing activities for elementary and middle school youth.
  • Experience conducting needs assessments and identifying educational needs.
  • Experience developing or coordinating financially self-sustaining events.
  • Experience assisting with recruitment, hiring, and training of instructional staff or volunteers.
