General Summary of Position:
Under the direction of the Principal Investigator or designee, the Research Coordinator II will collaborate with a team of health scientists and research staff with diverse background. As a teammate, he or she will be responsible for independently engaging, recruiting, enrolling, interviewing, measuring and communicating with study participants of the Healthy Aging and Neighborhood Study (HANS). Supported by the National Institute on Aging, HANS is being conducted in multi-ethnic and multi-racial older adult populations in northeastern and central Massachusetts. The Research Coordinator II will serve as a liaison of the study with local communities.
The Research Coordinator II will support research studies on health and well-beings of frail older adults living in communities. S/he will visit participant homes, senior centers and clinical sites, and have frequent face-to-face contacts with vulnerable study participants who may have immunodeficiencies. According to the approved study protocol, the Research Coordinator II is required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and seasonal flu.
