Umanist Staffing is Hiring a Criminal Justice Data Analyst Near Indianapolis, IN
OverviewJoin the Sex and Violent Offender Registration and Victim Services Division at the Indiana Department of Correction in the vital role of enhancing criminal history records. This hybrid position allows for flexibility, with three days in the office and two days of remote work each week once training is complete.
ResponsibilitiesResearch court documents and sentencing information from various jurisdictions
Analyze and interpret collected documents
Maintain communication with local and State law enforcement agencies
Enter data accurately into a designated web portal
Complete additional duties as assigned by Division Staff
Key QualificationsBachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred, or equivalent work experience
Broad experience with data collection and data entry
Knowledge of Indiana Criminal Code and Criminal Justice System
Familiarity with court documents and legal terminology
Good understanding of national criminal justice research resources
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Effective organizational and time management abilities
Capacity to process detailed and sensitive crime information
Ability to establish positive working relationships with department and external agency staff
Challenges And ObjectivesHandle multiple complex tasks and make informed decisions confidently
Utilize various methods to achieve task outcomes promptly and accurately
Maintain accuracy in work to uphold the Department's public perception and community safety
Work independently while adhering to policies and Department goals
Work RelationshipsCollaborate with department personnel to address project needs and requirements
