Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious forklift driver to join our team. The forklift driver will be responsible for operating a forklift to move, load, and unload materials in a warehouse or industrial setting. The ideal candidate will have experience operating a forklift and a strong commitment to safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Safely operate a forklift to move materials within the warehouse or worksite.
2. Load and unload materials from trucks, shelves, or storage areas using the forklift.
3. Inspect the forklift before each use and perform routine maintenance as needed.
4. Follow safety procedures and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
5. Stack and arrange materials in designated areas according to organizational standards.
6. Assist with inventory management by accurately recording materials movement.
7. Communicate with warehouse staff and supervisors to coordinate material handling activities.
8. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
9. Report any safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, or incidents to supervisors immediately.
10. Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Proven experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Strong understanding of forklift safety protocols and procedures.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as needed.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Flexibility to work different shifts as required.
- Willingness to undergo additional training as needed.
