Job Description

Community Manager

Company Overview: Our client is a leading provider of professional association management services, dedicated to serving communities across Central Texas. With a commitment to their local neighborhoods, they boast a team of highly trained and experienced community property managers and support personnel.

Position Overview: We are currently seeking an experienced Community Manager (CM) to oversee a portfolio of community associations, which may include condominiums and single-family homes. The CM plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation and administration of these communities, aligning with the directives set by the Board of Directors (BOD) and senior management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • BOD and Annual Meetings:
    • Prepare meeting agendas and minutes
    • Attend meetings and provide necessary support
  • Community Involvement:
    • Assist and participate in community events
    • Cultivate positive relationships with residents
  • Vendor Management:
    • Coordinate with vendors and oversee project scopes
    • Collect bids and review project progress
    • Ensure timely vendor payments
  • Financial Management:
    • Collaborate with internal accounting team on financial accuracy
    • Assist in annual budget creation and audit reviews
    • Provide financial reports to the Board/Finance Committee
  • Violations and Collections:
    • Conduct regular inspections for compliance
    • Manage violation reports and collection processes
  • Communication:
    • Maintain responsiveness to calls and emails
    • Keep the BOD informed of legal matters and community updates
    • Provide regular updates to BOD committees
  • Gate/Clubhouse/Pool Access:
    • Review and approve access requests
    • Ensure necessary access protocols are in place

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one (1) year managing Homeowner Associations (HOAs) preferred
  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's or Associate degree preferred
  • Community Associations Institute designation(s) preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of financial processes and collection procedures
  • Ability to work under pressure with a positive attitude
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Commitment to high standards of professional and ethical conduct
