Position Summary
The function of the UIC Venues and Events Coordinator is to ensure the efficient, proper and industry standards for coordinating all events and activities occurring under the responsibility of UIC Venues and Events. This includes, but is not limited to, events held at the Credit Union 1 Arena and UIC Forum. This extra help position is specifically dedicated to UIC Commencement ceremonies.
Duties & Responsibilities

Manage the logistics of seating and ticketing for commencement ceremonies.

Coordinate the distribution of Latin honor cords. Manage student employees at early distribution sites and on site at the commencement ceremonies.

Communication

Coordinate communications with colleges and students regarding the commencement ceremonies.

Prepare weekly reports on attendance estimates and ticketing for commencement ceremonies.

Troubleshoot and resolve guest/graduates/faculty/ event issues and concerns.
