UIC Alaska is Hiring a Cybersecurity Engineer Near Aberdeen, MD

Overview

Cybersecurity Engineer (PEOC3T):Bowhead is currently seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to support the PEO C3T contract in Aberdeen, MD. The Cybersecurity Engineer will plan, coordinate, and implement the organization's computer information security measures to safeguard information in computer files against accidental or unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure. Review violations of computer security procedures to eliminate violations. May provide work leadership for lower level employees.

Responsibilities

  • Research, test, and evaluate cybersecurity system architecture in accordance with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication 800-53, Department of Defense (DoD) Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Army policies
  • Perform tactical cyber security test and evaluation planning using threat penetration teams, cyber security vulnerability analysis, computer hardware, systems software, and computer system architecture and integration to include the evaluation of tactical network integration and satellite communications
  • Analyze and assess Information Systems Cybersecurity controls for threat and cybersecurity events related to tactical and acquisition system that impact the systems cybersecurity posture
  • Perform periodic reviews to determine the security posture of all PEO C3T acquisition systems and tactical networks to ensure compliance with all NIST, DoD, and Army policies
  • Provide recommendations in support of cybersecurity for Assessment and Authorization (A&A) implementation of the RMF process for tactical systems and networks
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in an appropriate scientific, engineering, or computer related discipline
  • 8 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education, experience and certifications.
  • Experience with cyber security policies and implementation.
  • Experience with Army C4ISR systems.
  • Certified in accordance with DoDD 8140.01 and DoD 8570.01-M
  • Experience with the Risk Management Framework
  • Experience with Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS)

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
  • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must have an active security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
