UHY is partnering with a reputable non-profit organization in Detroit who is looking for a Controller level Consultant for a 6 month engagement. They offer a hybrid work arrangement of 4 days in the office and 1 day remote. Full benefits, PTO, and 401k plan offered!

This is a contract position.

The ideal Controller candidate will possess:

• Hands on finance and accounting expertise
• Project management skills: ability to lead a process from start to completion
• Audit skills and keen eye for detail
• Curious personality; enjoys looking at data and identifying trends
• Systems savvy: ability to dive in and learning new programs and offer suggestions on how to make a process more efficient
• Strong analytical skills in Excel
• System implementation experience would be a plus
• Sage Intacct experience would be a plus
• Non-profit experience – highly preferred
• Clear, direct, and professional communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree required
• CPA or Master’s degree preferred
