Job Overview:

The Interventional Radiology Technologist reports to the Director of Rediology. Assists and performs interventional radiology invasive, image-guided procedures including but not limited to angioplasty, stenting, thrombolysis, and more using fluoroscopic or other imaging equipment. Works at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. Performs a variety of technical procedures that requires independent judgement and ingenuity to apply prescribed ionizing radiological diagnosis. Will participate in on call duties including holidays and weekends as needed.

General Responsibilities:

• Performs diagnostic procedures with skill and without requiring constant supervision.
• Will require independent judgment and initiative of a technical level.
• Demonstrates knowledge and ensures compliance with all regulatory bodies, e.g. The Joint Commission and American College of Radiology (ACR) standards and guidelines.
• Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills and customer service skills required.
• Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High School Graduate or equivalent required.
• Satisfactory completion of formal radiological training in an AMA approved school with at least 2 years’ experience.
• Registered by and in good standing with the ARRT AND The State of Florida (CRT).
• BLS Required Advanced Imaging Experience (CT, MR, CV, VI) Preferred.
• ACLS Required Registered Vascular Interventional Radiography credential preferred.
