The Multi-Modal Technologist reports to the designated leader(s) within the Radiology/Imaging Department.

General Responsibilities:

• Performs diagnostic procedures with skill and without requiring constant supervision in more than one (1) modality, OR, two (2) specialities within the same modality.
• Will require independent judgment and initiative of a technical level.
• Demonstrates knowledge and ensures compliance with all regulatory bodies, e.g. The Joint Commission and American College of Radiology (ACR) standards and guidelines.
• Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills and customer service skills required.
• Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High School Graduate or equivilent required.
• Diploma / Certification from certified school of Primary Imaging Modality required.
• One (1) or more years of experience as a Radiology Technologist or Ultra Sound Technologist required, acute care experience preferred.
• Six (6) months of experience in two (2) or more modalities (i.e. CT, MR, IR, NM, US, or Cath Lab) required, acute care experience preferred.
• Current Florida Radiology Technologist (CRT) license with fluoroscopy licensure if required by state.
• Current American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT) license required Or - Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) must be obtained within 12 months of start date and maintained current thereafter.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
