Position Summary:
The Nurse Educator is responsible for creating, coordinating, and providing education for the hospital staff. Responsible for assisting the CNO in evaluating, reviewing, designing and impending hospital events with respoect to all nursing staff required training.
QualificationsExperience/Education:
Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required, previous supervisory experience and BSN preferred. A minimum of five (5) years' experience as a nurse and four (4) years' experience in organizational performance within an acute psychiatric or residential treatment setting preferred. Must have experience in Microsoft Office programs, that include but not limited to, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Currently licensed to practice by the New Mexico State Board of Nursing.
Skills:
Must be knowledgeable regarding the standards of Joint Commission/CMS and other applicable regulatory agencies. Direct service staff must complete a minimum of 20 hours of pre-service training including CPR and Crisis Prevention Intervention.
