Responsibilities

Dover Behavioral Health System is a 104-bed, acute care psychiatric hospital located in the beautiful Dover, Delaware area. Dover Behavioral Health System features individual units for adolescents and adults and offers inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. On average, over 10,000 patients receive care from our compassionate health care team each year at Dover Behavioral Health System. Dover Behavioral Health System is looking for a Full-Time HR/Payroll Assistant to assist the Human Resources Director in delivering high quality Human Resources services to the Hospital.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Support Payroll & Accounting with payroll, accounts payable, and clerical needs
  • Assist collecting and processing information for the hospital’s bi-weekly payroll process; Enter time clock corrections into the Kronos system
  • Assist in reconciling payroll with source documents
  • Review financial data to discover outstanding invoices
  • Assist processing and reconcile the petty cash process for the facility
  • Assist with the daily cash journal preparation for all incoming cash
  • Works with Utilization Management to maximize payables and performs third party and self-pay follow-up as required.
  • Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures
  • Assisting with day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties
  • Maintain all confidential Human Resources records to include personnel files, medical files, worker compensation files, etc.
  • Serve as an active member of the Employee Council and serve as meeting facilitator in the absence of the Human Resources Director
  • Assist the Human Department in the delivery of the Hospital’s Employee Recognition programs to include coordinating events, activities, supplies, managing invoices, etc.
Qualifications

Qualifications:

High School Diploma and a minimum of three years Human Resources experience; Must be detailed oriented and have excellent communications skills; hospital experience a plus
