POSITION SUMMARY
The Program Manager oversees the provision and delivery of patient care for all patients admitted to an inpatient unit. This position is responsible for providing direct care to patients and ensures the individual needs of patients served are met. Duties include supervising assigned clinical staff, provides training and guidance to therapists, interns, and other clinical staff in addition to managing the day to day therapy schedule and activities. Work collaboratively with Director of Clinical Services in interviewing, hiring & disciplinary process of all Social Services staff. Identify performance improvement activities related to milieu/ programming.
The Program Manager contributes to the hospital’s philosophy, objectives, educational, and quality improvement efforts while ensuring unit is in accordance with the established standards of care, mental health practice and facility policy, goals, and objectives.
QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS
Education: Master's Degree from an accredited college or university, in Social Work or a clinical related mental health field. Licensed or license eligible at the clinical level (LCSW (LSW), LMHC (LMHC-A), LMFT (LMFT-A)) including but not limited to MS in Counseling, MSW in Social Work, MS in Marriage and Family Therapy, MS in Art Therapy, and MS in Psychology.
Experience: Five (5) years postgraduate experience with a minimum of two (2) years of experience in a psychiatric health care facility preferred, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills; must have strong clinical assessment skills.
License: Licensed Therapists will possess an Indiana state license in social work (LCSW), Counseling (LMHC), or Marriage and Family Therapy (LMFT).
Additional Requirements: CPR certification and HANDLE WITH CARE training within 90 days of employment and prior to assisting in a restraining procedure. May be required to work flexible hours and overtime.
Hours of Work: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; some evening/weekend hours as needed or indicated by immediate supervisor
