Responsibilities

Charge Nurse- Adult

The Charge Nurse directs and provides nursing care to patients utilizing the nursing process. He/she will be responsible for supervising LPNs and MHTs in the day-to-day activities of the unit.

Hill Crest Behavioral Health Services is a robust, free-standing psychiatric hospital offering dedicated services to adolescents and adults from the surrounding Birmingham community. With an average census of 150 patients, Hill Crest features acute inpatient, residential, and group home settings.

Qualifications

Job Requirements: AL RN License (or eligible to obtain) New grads encouraged to apply!� Excellent mentorship and orientation available!

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
  • Current status as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alabama.
  • Two (2) years of experience in psychiatric nursing preferred.
  • Must have valid credentials to direct physical management of the patients, staff, and have current CPR certification.
  • Must successfully pass background check (includes criminal history, Child Abuse and Neglect Registry, and ABI/FBI fingerprint check) and drug screen.
