The Staffing Coordinator has one of the most important roles in our facility. In conjunction with Nursing Administration, this role is primarily responsible for asssuring staffing of the facility which functions on a 24-hour basis, 7 days a week. Constant effective communication with employees and nursing administration is required. The staffing coordinator will also assist in training duties and may be required to assist in coverage on the units.
Duties and responsibilities of the Staffing Coordinator may include but are not limited to:
Provides all aspects of staffing the nursing department to include scheduling RN's, LPN's and MHA's. Is able to process vacation requests and assure staffing meets the identified nursing grid.
Works closely with Payroll and Nursing Adminstration to assure employee time reporting is correct. This includes all adjustments that need to be made.
Organizes reports as requested and required. Completes audits as indicated for Nursing Administration and Payroll
Maintains up to date and accurate nursing staff contacts and is able to maintain all required information in Shifthoud.
Will provide coverage for the receptionist and as needed, breaks for MHA's on the unit.
Will be willing to accept changes in job responsibilies as needed.
Is able to multitask efficiently with minimum errors as well as prioritize workloads to meet deadlines.
Will report any issues directly to supervisor.
Follows guidelines from Human Resources on personnel procedures regarding legal requirements such as FSLA, FMLA and EEOC.
Must posess impecable organizational skills and adhere to policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
A minimum of a high school education or GED. Bachelor's preferred. Previous mental health experience preferred but not required. CPR/First Aid and Handle with Care certificates are required (offered upon hire).
