Kingwood Pines Hospital:

Kingwood Pines Hospital is a 116 bed facility located in the beautiful residential Kingwood community. We are located about 30 miles northeast of the Houston Medical Center. The hospital provides 24-hour emergency services. We serve children, adolescents, and adults for psychiatric and behavioral health. The hospital also has services in intensive outpatient and partial hospital program services.

Qualifications

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Outpatient Therapist is responsible for providing support to the day-to-day operations of the Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient programs including, but not limited to: administrative functions, utilization review, assessment, discharge planning, group/individual therapy, case management, and other duties related to delivering a successful program.

EXPERIENCE:

Requires a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills; must have strong clinical assessment skills. Outpatient experience preferred. Combination of education, licensure and experience and/ or student internship hours may be considered.

EDUCATION:

Master's Degree from an accredited college or university, in Social Work or a clinical related mental health field.

CERTIFICATION:

Must possess a TX State licensure: LPC, LPC-I, LPC-A, LMSW or LCSW.

CPR and HWC training must be completed prior to beginning work. Must be able to pass a competency exam for the area upon hire. Will be required to work flexible hours.
