Outpatient Clinical Manager Opportunity:
The Ridge is seeking a full-time Outpatient Clinical Manager.
Under the direction of the Director of Outpatient, the Outpatient Clinical Manager assists in the oversight for the referral, assessment, admission, and clinical programming for onsite and satellite campuses of The Ridge. The Outpatient Clinical Manager assigns responsibilities to other program staff and therapists to ensure prompt response to patient needs. The Outpatient Clinical Manager reviews and maintains all program documentation. The Outpatient Clinical Manager performs in-person substance abuse & risk assessments, provides crisis intervention, serves as initial contact with referral sources and potential patients, coordinates the referral and intake process, and maintains communication with referral sources, families, patients, and unit staff. The Outpatient Clinical Manager demonstrates skills in identifying and targeting viable referral sources for potential program referral opportunities. The Outpatient Clinical Manager demonstrates the clinical knowledge to train and lead program staff and therapists. The Outpatient Clinical Manager is responsible for managing employees of satellite programs and completes associated staff evaluations. Must be willing to spend up to 100% of worked the time on the road. Must be able to communicate accurately with all stakeholders – both internal and external. Must be able to maintain confidential patient information.

The Ridge Behavioral Health System is a 110-bed hospital located in the heart of the Bluegrass, Lexington, KY. The Ridge provides psychiatric and substance use disorder treatment for children, adolescents, and adults. The Ridge offers Partial Hospitalization, Intensive Outpatient Programs, Individual Counseling, as well as Medication Management for all ages. We have provided behavioral health services to over 92 Kentucky counties for more than 39 years.

We train you to be the best, but there are a few minimum requirements for this position:
Education
· Master’s Degree in social work or other mental health field required
Experience
· Experience with hospital-based programs and outpatient programs, including group therapy, Partial Hospitalization, and Intensive Outpatient
· Experience and skill with outpatient billing and insurance authorizations
· Experience with school-based systems, including highly structured classrooms
· Prior intake, assessment, admission, and crisis intervention experience with a psychiatric mental health population.
· Supervisory experience preferred.
Certifications/Licensure
· Independent Certification or licensure in social work or mental health field preferred (LCSW, LPCC, LMFT).
- If employee possesses an LPCA, CSW or Marriage and Family Therapy Associate licensure then they must have a contractual agreement for supervision. This agreement must be forwarded to HR for placement in their file.
Other Skills
· Written and oral communication skills.
· Skills in case management.
· Knowledge of acute psychological disorders, advanced principals of abnormal psychology, and substance abuse disorders
· Familiarity with follow-up resource services available to patients.
· Skills in conducting individual, group, and family sessions.
· Skills in maintaining information as highly confidential.
· Must demonstrate the ability to treat all age populations as needed or have the capacity to develop skills through the organization’s cross-training, orientation program.
· Ability to clearly summarize pertinent clinical information via written correspondence and medical records documentation.
