We are pleased to announce the following available position: Intake Counselor - Part Time (evenings/overnight/weekends)

Position Summary: To provide and assess the needs of walk-in and phone callers and ensure their referral to the service or resource that best addresses their needs. Basic knowledge of, and skills in applying principles of abnormal psychology and mental health problems. Familiarity with psychological, sociological and medical terminology. Skills in analyzing and evaluating information; problem solving skills; excellent oral communication skills; legible handwriting; ability to concentrate on tasks and meet deadlines; ability to confidentially maintain all information; basic data entry skills preferred, including some experience using computer; organization and time management skills; skills in dealing courteously with the public and individuals within the organization as well as referral sources and patients; crisis management skills.

Qualifications

Education: Masters prepared mental health professional with a degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or other related field, or RN required.

Experience: At least one 1) year experience utilizing assessment skills preferred

Licensure/Certification: CPR required; CPI Certification required.
