POSITION SUMMARY:
The LPN implements nursing care for assigned residents. The LPN assists in the assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of nursing care under the direction of the DON according to standards of practice. The LPN utilizes advanced skills in patient care after education and training.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing program for Licensed Practical Nurses and hold a valid license in the state of Virginia to practice as an LPN. Current CPR certification or upon hire attend CPR certification. Prefer a minimum of one year experience in an adolescent psychiatric or general psychiatric setting. Requires mental alertness; at times requires critical thinking under stress situations. Requires stamina to work in a fast-paced environment. Must complete APIC Epidemiology courses EPI 101 and 102 infection preventionist (IP) model competency within 1 year.
