SBHS has a Fee for Service/Registry Inpatient Group Therapist position available.

The candidate selected will be responsible for the following: 

The Inpatient Therapist performs social service functions to include assisting clients in meeting their bio-psycho-social needs while enabling them to access through therapeutic treatment skills to achieve their optimal level of emotional health, including providing basic consultation, teaching, and specialized clinical social services for consumers/families receiving care. The clinical social services provided includes crisis intervention, short and/or long-term family therapy, group therapy, treatment planning and discharge planning. The Program Therapist serves as an integral member of the treatment team and is also responsible for case management of consumers internal/ external support systems.

Streamwood Behavioral Healthcare System (SBHS) is a 178-bed acute care facility located in Streamwood,IL and has been providing mental health treatment to the Chicagoland community and the state of Illinois since 1991. We are dedicated to offering services to meet the ever-changing emotional and behavioral healthcare needs of children, adolescents, and their families.

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION: Master’s Degree in Counseling, Psychology or Social Work is required. Experience in conducting group therapy.

SKILLS: Empathy, time management psychotherapy, organizational skills.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: LPC, LCPC, LSW or LCSW preferred.
