Director of Nursing
Clive Behavioral Health (CBH) is a 134-bed licensed inpatient behavioral health hospital, operating on two campuses in Iowa. Clive Behavioral Health West opened in February 2021 with 100 inpatient beds for adult, child & adolescent patients experiencing a severe behavioral health crisis. Care at this location focuses on crisis management, stabilization and development of a plan to return to community living with, if needed, supportive outpatient services and community services and resources. Clive Behavioral Health Des Moines is a 34-bed inpatient location operated by CBH on the MercyOne Des Moines campus. Care at this location will be for adults experiencing a severe behavioral health crisis.
The Director of Nursing is a key member of the Clive Behavioral Health Leadership Team who will integrate and coordinate a patient centric nursing strategy with a hands-on approach and keen focus on patient care; ensuring that delivery of high-quality and cost-effective health care is consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Universal Health Services and in accordance with government regulation, licensing and accreditation requirements. The DON participates in the hospital’s strategic planning and contributes to the achievement of institutional goals and objectives. The Director of Nursing has a unique opportunity to career progress in-step with the forcasted growth of the new hospital and satellite campus. In this role, the DON will focus on 5 key areas: People, Service, Quality, Growth, and Finance
