We use a TRAUMA INFORMED CARE APPROACH to working with adolescents and we will teach you how to apply these principles in an effective and positive manner.

Your role provides services to the residents through:

Active Engagement - Assisting with psychoed groups, physical activities, therapeutic and scholastic assignments and coaching pro social skills by modeling healthy relationship building skills.

Empathy and Trauma Informed Care - Compassionate listening and re-directing negativity to ensure the residents feel safe which helps them on the path to healing past trauma.

Modeling and Coaching - Working together in a collaborative environment with their peers helps promote pro social skills and improves their self esteem.

Safety and Security - Consistent engagement and supervision of the residents is a priority that will ensure safety and provides much needed routines.

SHIFTS AVAILABLE

Weekend Shift / Fri & Sat 6:00am - 2:00pm & Sun & Mon 2:00pm - 10:00pm plus one other 8 hour shift of your choice to equal 40 hours per week - Shift Differential is 4.00 per hour Fri, Sat & Sun

PM Shift / Tues through Sat 2:00pm - 10:00pm - Shift Differential is 2.00 - 4.00 per hour Mon - Thur and 4.00 per hour Fri, Sat & Sun

Grave Shift / 10:00pm - 6:00am Friday - Monday plus another 8 hour shift - Shift Differential is 3.00 per hour Mon - Thur and 4.00 per hour Fri, Sat & Sun

BENEFITS FOR OUR BEHAVIORAL HEALTH TECHS:

Full benefits coverage on your 31st day of employment - medical, dental, vision, etc.

40 hours of PTO by your 90th day

Double time pay for holidays (the big 6)

Generous Shift Differential - Additional amount of $$ per hour depending on the shift you work

Qualifications

BEHAVIORAL HEALTH TECH REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors degree preferred, but not required, in a human service field or working towards a degree
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Experience working with youth preferred
  • Resiliency - being able to manage stress in a dynamic environment
  • Consistency - being a dependable and consistent presence that the residents can count on
