UFCU is Hiring a Premier Banking Relationship Manager Near Austin, TX

Job Summary

The Premier Banking Relationship Manager (PBRM) manages the full lifecycle of affluent member relationships in alignment with UFCU Wealth Management team goals and objectives, and in accordance with regulatory guidelines and policies, including needs assessment and fulfilling requests related to accounts, loans, financial education, and other services. The PBRM manages members’ complete financial needs and serves as the UFCU primary point of contact as needs change. This role is community-minded and serves or is willing to serve on non-profit and/or industry-related organizations. The PBRM proactively retains and acquires affluent and high net worth members, and retains/deepens existing relationships, through outreach and pre-planned appointments.

The Premier Banking Relationship Manager reports to Manager, Investment Services.

Essential Functions

  • Identify client needs and goals for business, investment services, mortgage, and insurance services, and partner closely with peers in Business Services, Investment Services, Mortgage, and Insurance Services to best meet the previously identified needs and goals, consistent with members' overall financial circumstances and goals.
  • Utilize tools and process to capture pertinent information directly from members and identify areas to provide financial solutions through various life stages.
  • Exercise independent judgment and discretion in managing client relationships through regular meetings to review goals, provide advice regarding banking services, and options to meet changing circumstances.
  • Build relationships with branch colleagues, affluent customers, and partners to acquire, deepen, and retain relationships, and help members achieve financial success.
  • Manage incoming inquiries from members, prospects, partners, and branch staff; work leads to assess needs.
  • Execute business development activities, including making outreach calls with affluent and high net worth members and business centers of influence within UFCU footprint.
  • Study and test for additional licenses (Series 7 and Series 66) once the minimum licensing requirements are met; proactively keep current on developing market and regulatory trends and guidelines.

  • Complete required regulatory training as assigned.
  • Maintain strict adherence to and compliance to all laws, rules, regulations and internal controls specific to the role.

  • Thorough knowledge of sales and service process/tools to aid in learning more about the member and uncovering ways to help them achieve their financial goals.

Experience

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in affluent member service building relationships and providing financial solutions to meet needs and achieve financial goals.
  • Business development experience
  • Experience working in a financial institution
  • Thorough knowledge of and experience with consumer lending
  • Experience working in a team environment working with internal and external partners to better help achieve member financial success.
  • Currently hold active licenses – SIE, series 7, series 66 and life and health insurance
  • Must be bondable

Preferred Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Public contact position, requiring appropriate professional apparel.
  • Frequent computer use at a workstation of up to two hours at a time.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
  • Local travel to meet with members and prospects, attend events, and inspect properties.
