UF Health is Hiring an Onboarding Specialist | Human Resources Near Gainesville, FL

Job Opening Summary

The onboarding specialist contributes to the mission of the Talent Acquisition Department by providing clerical and administrative support to the recruiters and associate recruiters. Duties include processing job references, background checks, new hire paperwork, candidate and recruiter travel, onboarding coordination (i.e., scheduling occupational health appointments, new employee orientation and tracking the deferred hiring processes) and other related transactions. Serves as the onboarding liaison between the new hire, Talent Acquisition, Occupational Health and Human Resources Development departments. This position also provides direct customer service and assistance related to the talent acquisition process to both internal and external customers. This position will be responsible for coverage of multiple talent acquisition functions and will also serve as a point of contact for select vendors and community contacts.

Job Opening Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • 4 years of administrative experience in a human resource separtment or 4 years of progressively responsible administrative experience with independent project task management, completing work with very tight, defined time lines, including interacting with the public.
    • AA degree may be substitute for 2 years of experience.
  • Must have strong customer service experience.
  • Microsoft Office suite and e-mail experience is a must.
  • Ability to multitask, problem solve, work under stress, meet deadlines and work independently is essential.
  • PeopleSoft or iCIMS applicant tracking experience is highly desirable.

Minimum Pay Rate - Hourly: $20.04 Midpoint Pay Rate - Hourly: $24.71
