Required Education:
Associate’s degree. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. New hires effective June 14, 2017, must have a BSN degree from an accredited school of nursing within three (3) years of hire or transfer into the position. New hires or transfers into in the position between August 1, 2013 and June 13, 2017 must abide with the conditions in his or her offer letter and the verbiage in the job description signed upon hire or transfer into the position. Current employees who were hired or transferred into the position prior to August 1, 2013 will be grandfathered.
Preferred Education:
BSN
Required Licensure/Certifications:

• Licensed to practice nursing in the state of Florida
• BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Valid Florida or Georgia Drivers license with clean record, or violations not exceeding maximum points as provided in hospital policy.

Preferred Licensure/Certifications:
BLS Instructor
ACLS Instructor
Required Experience:
1-2 years ED experience
Preferred Experience:

• Community Outreach experience
• Health related Investigative Experience
• 500/501 HIV Training Certificate

Necessary Skills:
1. Ability to organize and prioritize assignments to work independently as well as a collaborative team member.
2. Possesses critical thinking, prioritization, and organizational skills
3. Basic computer literacy and arithmetic skills.
4. Knowledge of ambulatory health care or related health care field.
5. Ability to provide dynamic customer service using various techniques including positive language, calming presence, attentiveness, clear communication, and patience.
6. Attention to detail and quality of work.
7. Ability to communicate effectively and courteously, both orally and in writing.
