The purpose of the Mgr - Medical Staff Office is to facilitate, develop and implement information systems that improve workflows, department processes and documentation. The position will ensure the ability to execute and sustain best practices within the Medical Staff Services Department and to promote the quality of information and utilization of credentialing applications and data delivered to end-users and the organization at large.
Required Education::
Bachelor's Degree.
Ten (10) years of relevant experience and NAMSS Certifications (CPCS or CPMSM) may be accepted in lieu of a degree
Preferred Education::
Bachelor's in Health Care Administration, Business Administration or other related field
Required Licensure/Certification::
Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) OR Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM) by the National Association of Medical Staff Services within two years of date of hire or transfer into position.
Required Experience::
1-2 years' experience Medical staff services/credentialing, healthcare, human resources in a healthcare environment or related field OR Crystal report writing experience.
Preferred Experience::
Experience with hospital quality process improvement.
