Job Summary:
The Occupational Therapist provides evaluation, planning, and implementation of occupational therapy services for patients to facilitate the rehabilitation of neuromuscular, musculoskeletal and neurological impairments; to restore function, and to prevent disability following disease, injury or congenital abnormalities. The person in this position shall provide supervision to occupational therapy assistants, aides, interns and students.
Minimum Requirements:
Licensure: Registration by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy. Valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist by the California Board of Occupational Therapy. Current BLS.
Experience: 6-12 months experience preferred. Experience or internship in rehabilitation, pediatrics, and/or acute hospital setting also preferred.
Skills and Abilities: Strong interpersonal skills, time management, problem solving and self-initiation skills. Concise and effective communication Physical Requirements: Good physical condition including ability to lift, transfer, and move heavy/awkward patients and equipment. Moderate walking and sitting.

Bend/Stoop: Up to 3 hours
Reach: Up to 6 hours
Rep Use of UE/Grasp: Up to 6 hrs
Lift/Push/Pull: 25lbs, over 25# with assistance or equipment
This job requires the ability to hear alarms clients and/or instruction. The ability to see accurately from 20 inches to 20-ft. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential function of this position.
