To strengthen our Ethics and Compliance team, basedin Smyrna, Atlanta, we are looking for a talented individual to fill the position of: Head of E&C Operational Excellence.

As a Head of E&C Operational Excellence and as a member of the E&C leadership team, you will collaborate with the Head of Global E&C and peers to embed and foster an ethical mindset and culture as well as designing, implementing and continuously improving an effective compliance program across UCB organizations. You will provide support and leadership to business partners for company-wide initiatives impacting E&C culture and practices.

You like to work in anenvironment where you can:

  • Provide direct and indirect leadership for assigned E&C staff ensuring aligned priorities, strategies and approaches across E&C groups and geographies and providing ongoing management and development of staff,
  • Drive best engagement, efficiency and effectiveness of the team, including consistency and collaboration,
  • Report and support management of internal E&C resources and capabilities, including management and allocation of flexible E&C resources,
  • Coordinate support and response to corporate roles in UCB PV Units (including Early and Development) and PV Functions.

You will contributeby:

  • The oversee and reporting on E&C budget planning, allocation and status
  • Reporting and supporting the management of E&C staff capabilities including resources allocation planning and prioritization, internal knowledge management, team engagement and development initiatives
  • Managing the flexible E&C resources and allocation according to departmental needs and priorities
  • Acting as primary contact for UCB corporate roles, securing appropriate routing of needs and questions including coordination of due diligence/integration for mergers/acquisitions
  • Taking responsibilities for;
    • Internal and external communications
    • Interfaces with GIA, ERM, Sustainability/ESG, Policy@UCB
    • Interfaces with UCB public affairs and coordinate alignment on external engagement with industry trade groups.

Your key performance indicators will be:

  • Delivery of fit for purpose E&C solutions (or providing E&C contributions to business initiatives within established timelines and priorities),
  • Creating a working relationship with employees and management for accomplishing the desired goals on a timely basis.

Interested? For this position you'll need the followingeducation, experienceand skills:

  • Bachelor or master's degree (preferred),
  • Management level healthcare regulatory and/or consulting experience of at least 10 years
  • Knowledge of global healthcare regulatory standards,
  • Understanding of global business integrity topics,
  • Financial acumen,
  • Program management,
  • Excellent and effective communication skills including group presentations, and one-on-one interactions with employees at all levels,
  • Ability to establish and maintain credibility and trust throughout the company,
  • Discreet and able to protect confidential information,
  • Demonstrated ability to review, analyze and interpret legislation,
  • Must have the ability to work independently with the ability to proactively develop and direct solutions.
