Position Description

As the Vendor Payment Solutions Analyst, you will provide support to the Vendor Payment Solutions Product Owner Team for both CES and PPS products and will assist with the testing, documenting, and coordinating of routine updates and maintenance, break/fix issue resolution, inquiries, enhancements, and new implementations. You will also be responsible for the coordination, communication, and timely implementation of all routine and customized requests. You will develop and maintain tracking and process documentation, as well as being responsible for the maintenance of the team’s Point site.

  • Assist in the development of test scenarios for changes and/or projects. Support the timely resolution of open testing bugs and issues.
  • Assist with the support and testing of the Optum PPS Bi-weekly updates, the bi-weekly LCD/NCD updates, and the quarterly CES Knowledge Base updates.
  • Assist with completing impact analysis with report requests, analyzing reports, and submitting claims reprocessing or adjustment requests as appropriate.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, communicate changes as appropriate.
  • Ensure that documentation is maintained for historical purposes for all edit changes including any input from other teams/departments affecting decisions.
  • Analyze, test, and support department or portfolio projects as they relate to CES and PPS.
  • Collaborate with Optum AMS Teams and participate in weekly calls to review ticket inventory, issue resolution, and overall support.
  • Coordinate all CES/PPS file loads and updates with the AMS teams and internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with the staff of other teams and departments including but not limited to the Configuration and Claims Operations (CCO) Configuration Team, Healthcare Economics, Customer Services’ Provider Assistance Center, Provider Services, Coverage Policy and Government Relations.
  • Research and respond to service requests in a prompt and timely manner.
  • Coordinate key project activities. Drive project efforts and facilitate project-related meetings. Partner and communicate with upstream and downstream stakeholders to ensure seamless and predictable outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards that effectively communicate service level performance of both internal and delegated functions.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education

Bachelor’s degree preferred; demonstrated experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Required Experience

Five or more years’ experience in health care or managed care. Two or more years of in-depth experience with Optum PPS/CES applications.

Preferred Experience

Five or more years of experience as a Business Systems, Technical or Functional Analyst. Five years' experience with Optum PPS/CES applications. Business process documentation and process improvement expertise. Experience with service level reporting and dashboards.
