Position Description

As the User Experience (UX) Designer you will be a part of the Digital Experience Team (DTX) and be responsible for designing wireframes, mock-ups, prototypes, and other tools to visualize and document the user experience. You will play a key role in conducting user experience analysis, document personas and user journeys, and recommend UX tasks within a variety of projects. You will work alongside product owners, internal creative teams and external partners to accomplish you tasks and to update and add user experience guidelines to the digital style guide.

  • Create wireframes, storyboards, sitemaps, and other visual artifacts for all DXT releases to visualize business requirements for business stakeholders and socialize product design throughout the organization.
  • Establish user experience design conventions and principles and ensure they are extended across releases/product.
  • Facilitate and conduct usability testing plans.
  • Develop and document personas, key tasks and scenarios for all products and releases.
  • Design and document user journeys, visualizing the complete process a user takes to complete high-value and complex tasks.
  • Rapidly create and iterate mockups across a variety of devices/interface.
  • Collaborate with agency partner(s) and augment existing style guide(s) to include and document user experience design conventions and principles.
  • Identify challenges, facility solution development and make recommendations to the program sponsor and stakeholders, as needed.
  • Assist with content development.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Design, Communications, Journalism or related field. Demonstrated work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Required Experience

Experience designing responsive, high-fidelity mockups with appropriate consideration to brand and style guidelines. Experience designing or participating in user research activities such as user interviews and/or usability studies. Experience creating personas, user journeys, identifying pain points, and/or recommending UX improvements. Experience contributing to user stories, self-identifying tasks during planning sessions and working in a “developer-centric” environment.

Preferred Experience

Experience supporting Brocade switches, Windows and UNIX/Linux systems, Rubrik, Cisco LAN/WAN infrastructure, M365, Point, Active Directory, Microsoft System Center, and Microsoft Server and ITIL experience a plus.
