Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will provide advanced nursing care to patients of all ages, focusing on health promotion, disease prevention, and the management of acute and chronic illnesses. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a difference in the lives of patients and contribute to their overall well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct focused physical assessments and medical histories
- Diagnose and treat common acute illnesses, injuries, and infections
- Manage urgent care complaints
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests
- Prescribe medications and other treatments
- Provide patient education on disease prevention, healthy lifestyle choices, and medication management
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Perform procedures such as sutures, incision & drainage, EKG and radiology
- Provide occupational health services including pre-employment physicals and workers' compensation evaluations
- Conduct DOT physicals and school physicals
Requirements:
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license in Texas
- Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner in the respective specialty area (Family Nurse Practitioner)
- Experience working with patients of all ages including children and adults
- Proficiency in performing procedures such as sutures, incision & drainage, woods lamp exams, ear irrigations, removal of foreign bodies, DOT exams, school physicals
- Knowledge of occupational health practices and regulations

- Strong clinical assessment skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a healthcare team
Pay: $75.00 per hour
Expected hours: 12 – 48 per week
