Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Senior Superintendent of Plant, incumbent operates, maintains, and repairs gas and oil fired high pressure boilers, compressors and auxiliary equipment used in the manufacture and distribution of steam.

Salary Range:

Required Qualifications:

Must work overtime or alternate shifts as required to meet hospital needs

Current State of California Driver's License

Ability to interpret schematics, blueprints, shop drawings and manufacturers technical manuals

Understanding of regulatory controls and requirements of NEC, NFPA, AQMD, OSHA, and JCAHO standards

Steam Plant Operator's License - Unlimited or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

Steam plant experience in a hospital setting
