Position Summary:
The Division of Enrollment Management is a key campus thought partner that provides collaborative leadership in university-wide efforts, utilizing systematic, innovative, and synergistic approaches to leverage a data-informed enrollment strategy to improve market distinctiveness, and execute the campus strategic plan. The division comprises the offices of Enrollment Management, Financial Aid & Scholarships, University Registrar, and Undergraduate Admissions. The mission of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions is to support and achieve UCI student enrollment goals through practices consistent with the mission and values of the university. The Office seeks to identify, recruit, admit and enroll high-achieving, talented and accomplished students who reflect diverse backgrounds from throughout California, across the United States, and abroad. The Admissions Counselor, First Year Outreach is responsible for administering motivational and informational programs throughout California aimed at enrolling more well-prepared and high-achieving students on campus. Applies skills as a recruitment and admissions professional. Provides substantive information on admissions requirements, curricula, housing and student life for the University of California, Irvine Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Performs recruitment activities. Evaluates and makes determinations regarding applications for admission using established guidelines.

$26.92 - $31.78 (Hourly Rate) Expected Pay Range within the Full Salary Range $26.92 - $46.36 (Hourly Rate)
Required:
Three (3) to five (5) years of relevant experience
Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
Knowledge and experience working with a diverse student population. Working knowledge of UC, and the ability to interpret policies and procedures to prospective applicants and the public. Ability to maintain cooperative relationships with schools, universities, community organizations and other institutions. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Demonstrated knowledge and ability to evaluate eligibility and transferability of course work. Knowledge of and experience in conducting intersegmental relations for the purposes of outreach, advising, program and curriculum planning. Skills to analyze, synthesize, organize and evaluate pertinent reports, data, academic program descriptions and university policies. Skill in listening, anticipating, and responding to the needs of customers to achieve excellent customer service measured by outcomes rather than activities.
Preferred:
Working knowledge of academic programs, including curricula, admissions requirements, and financial aid programs at UCI. Working knowledge of UCI admissions requirements.
Special Conditions Required:
• Occasional nights/weekends required. • Frequent travel outside of normal business hours required. • Must possess a valid CA driver’s license. • Employment is subject to a DOJ background check. • Employee is required to sign a confidentiality/conflict of interest disclosure.
