Compensation :
Pay Range: $33.45 - $49.35 / hour
- $5,000 new hire sign-on bonus (Full-Time only)

UAB Medicine supports work/life balance. The shifts available for this unit are:
- Full-Time AM: 3 12-hour shifts per week
- Full-Time PM: 3 12-hour shifts per week
- Full-Time Weekend AM and PM
- Part-Time Weekend AM and PM
- Flexi/PRN
Unit Details: The Acute Care for Elders Unit (ACE) or "Highlands 4 Main" is a 26-bed acute care unit located at UAB Hospital-Highlands that provides care to post-surgical and geriatric patients, as well as those transferred from the emergency department, ICU, or admitted from a physician office. The ACE Unit is the very first of its kind in Alabama and is nationally recognized for addressing the health care needs of geriatric patients. The unit utilizes an interdisciplinary care team trained in geriatrics to provide acutely ill older adults with holistic care of the highest quality. Promoting health, preventing complications, optimizing function, and preserving dignity are all important components of their mission. Opportunities for professional growth could include our geriatric scholars program and specialized certifications. UAB Hospital-Highlands combines the feel of a community hospital - including small size, free parking, and neighborhood location - with the same expertise and technology available at our flagship facility.
