The UAB Student Health Services Health Clinic seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who primarily assists with patient care, including patient intake, vital signs, communication with providers, medication and immunization administration, assisting with in-office procedures, answering patient phone calls and portal messages, triaging walk-in patients, and assisting with prescription refill requests. Furthermore, an LPN may be trained in immunization document review and medical clearance immunization clinics.
Key Duties and Primary Responsibilities:
Hourly Range: $17.31-$22.00
Graduate from an accredited Practical Nursing Program is required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Currently licensed or licensed by endorsement as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing required. Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required or should be obtained within 30 days of employment. Depending on the unit/department, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification and/or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) may be required.
