They will oversee all financial transactions, ensure legal compliance, conduct audits, and assist with budget preparation.

More Specifics on Job Responsibilities:

The position reports to the Controller.

• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare financial statements, including monthly and annual accounts.
• Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
• Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual account reconciliations.
• Develop and maintain financial databases.
• Prepare for financial audits and cooperate with the external auditors of the company.
• Monitor and interpret cash flows while predicting future trends.
• Analyze financial information to assist in decision-making processes.
• Review and recommend changes to existing accounting procedures.
• Assess financial risks and work to minimize them, identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Play a key role in the ERP transition and training of current/new members on the systems, and provide support to the Sales and Operations Departments.

Qualifications and Experiences

Basic Qualifications. A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, with a minimum of 5 years of experience. A strong background in Insurance, advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and demonstrated success in cost savings, process improvements and digitization.

Preferred

• Proven experience as an accountant, with a strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Excellent attention to detail, with strong analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Professional certification (such as CPA) is highly desirable.
• Experience with ERP system conversions/implementation.
• Experience with acquisitions and integrating new businesses into a common financial reporting system.
• Experience in working with private equity.
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to develop relationships and communicate with all levels of management.
