Summary

This position is located in the . Mint, Manufacturing Department, West Point, Office of the Plant Manager, Financial Management Division.

The Division maintains responsibility for procurement operations at a multi-million dollar industrial facility, requiring the acquisition of equipment (complex minting machinery), services, construction, and supplies.

Duties

As a Contract Specialist, you will :

• Provide advisory guidance to technical personnel involved in development of the statement of work and solicitation documents
• Monitor existing and / or new contracts during the life of the contract to determine if all requirements are being met and price / costs are not exceeding estimated amount
• Determine the sources to be solicited; prepare applicable determinations and findings; conduct pre-proposal conferences;
• receive and evaluates proposals in conjunction with technical personnel; determine the competitive range in negotiations with one or more offers;

and prepare award documents.
