Duties
This position is located under the Office of Enforcement Programs and Services, National Tracing Center Division, Tracing Operations and Records Management Branch, in Martinsburg, West Virginia.
The primary purpose of this position is to perform a variety of program review, analysis, and long-range planning functions relating to the National Tracing Center Division.
As a Program Analyst, GS-0343-12, your typical work assignments may include:
Utilizing expert knowledge of analytical techniques and extensive understanding of subject programs, the incumbent continually assesses the effectiveness of program operations and supporting systems through the conduct of complex studies, analysis, surveys, reports, briefings, etc.
Providing technical expertise and assistance to management on a variety of systems, functions and activities relevant to the National Tracing Center and provides expert-level technical input and advice regarding studies, surveys, briefings papers, operating procedures, planning, coordination, program development, liaison, etc.
Presenting detailed observations, findings, and recommendations orally and/or in writing, to higher-level enforcement management. Leads, participates in, and attends meetings, conferences, presentations, etc. as an authority on the National Tracing Center and other related subjects and programs.

This is a non-bargaining unit position.
MOBILITY PLAN: New employees hired pursuant to this vacancy announcement must sign a mobility agreement. To accomplish these objectives, the mobility plan will facilitate the movement of employees through special short-term assignments or permanent reassignments throughout the Bureau. Qualifications
GS-12 - You qualify if you possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal, State, or Local government or equivalent public or private sector experience, performing the following duties:
Conducting studies and conveying findings to management; AND
Providing recommendations to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of program operations.
Substitution of education in lieu of specialized experience may not be used for this grade level .
